Trip Description
Hunt giant Yukon bull moose in one of the North’s most iconic wilderness regions, where expansive wetlands, river corridors, and high-country basins consistently produce some of the biggest trophy moose in Canada. The Ceaser Lake area is famous for monster bulls, supported by outstanding genetics and strong population density—60-inch bulls are common, and 65-inch giants appear every season, making this a premier destination for a dream Yukon moose hunt.
Guides use horseback, Argo, and lake/river-based access to reach prime rutting areas. Horse and Argo hunts climb into elevated glassing points or work timbered edges, while boat hunts offer a less physically demanding option with the same top-end trophy potential. These water-based hunts suit archery hunters, older sportsmen, and two-hunter camps—while maintaining the required one guide per hunter. With excellent moose density and low pressure, the region consistently delivers opportunities at mature bulls.
Hunts blend calling with spot-and-stalk encounters along meadows, oxbows, and river bends, where bulls respond aggressively during the peak rut. The terrain is vast and conditions raw, but the emphasis remains on safe travel, ethical shots, and a classic northern guided Yukon moose hunting experience. When available, hunters can also add caribou, grizzly, or goat, creating one of the Yukon’s most productive combination hunts.
For those seeking a true wilderness adventure with big bulls and big country, the Ceaser Lake region stands out as a top Yukon moose hunting destination. With massive antlers, strong age classes, and lightly hunted terrain, this is a place where patience pays off and exceptional bulls are well within reach.
